MY TOWN OR CITY
Its Name, Site and Geography: I live at Baraut. It is a big town of district Bagpat. It is situated on Delhi- Saharanpur road. It is only about fifty five kilometres from Delhi. It is a model town.
Its Population : It is a thickly populated town. There are about one lakh people in it. It is mainly a Jain dominated town. Besides Jains there are Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs in it.
Main Occupation of its People: The main occupation of its people is business. There is no big mill. But there are a few factories which manufacture wheels and axles for bogies. There are three mandis where goods are sold and purchased.
School, Colleges, Buildings and Hospitals etc : Baraut is a centre of education. There are two Post- Graduate colleges and four Intermediate colleges. There is a Government Girls High School also. There is a government hospital also.
Reasons of liking this Town: My town is neat and clean. The people of my town are very gentle. We get all facilities there. So I like it very much.
